Clothes That Do More: on the journey and at the destination

We've all been there trying to reduce the amount of luggage we take but still look good.  This is made that much more difficult when you have a long journey (whether by plane, train, car or bus) to make to get to your destination, especially when you travel between different climates by crossing hemispheres or heading to more tropical climates.

Living in London and visiting New Zealand, or vice versa, plus work travel that were at least a ten hour flight from Auckland, we've had quite a bit of experience in changing hemispheres and dressing for comfort on the journey, function and style at the destination.

Asmuss aims to solve this problem by creating versatile, stylish designs that are comfortable, even after having to wear them for hours and hours. Travel clothing doesn't mean you have to dress like everyone else to be comfortable and functional.

Here are some tips for clothing for your travels.

Clothes That Do More: keep you cool (& warm), or keep the UV away

Temperatures can be a bit all over the place when you're travelling, especially when you are starting and ending the journey in different climates, let along with different temperatures in airports and on aircraft.

This is where our Tech Wool fabric comes in as it helps warm or cool you depending on what you require by using 37.5 Technology. Check out our Puzzle Long Sleeve Top for a great long sleeve t-shirt for the journey.

Or for a lightweight option, that still has long sleeves (because we know some people prefer not to have bare arms when you are travelling close to other people for hours at a time) the Paige Long Sleeve T-shirt feels great against your skin and is great from keeping the UV away from your skin once you reach your destination.

Clothes That Do More: stretch for comfort

When you have to be seated for hours an elasticated waistband and fabric that has a bit of stretch will help you stay as comfortable as possible for the travel.

The Oval Trousers are great for long travel days as not only do they have an elasticated waistband, the fabric has some stretch. Plus they have pockets that can fit your phone and the leg is slightly cropped and narrows at the ankle so they don't drag on the floor of bathrooms (which are hard to avoid while you're travelling).

Clothes That Do More: lightweight layer, packable & water resistant

Temperatures and weather are always a unpredictable so having a lightweight layer to add to cope with too cold air conditioning or changing climates on a journey helps.

This is where the Roam Jacket comes into its own as it is lightweight, packs down small if you don't need to wear it. Plus is is water resistant if you encounter rain showers at your destination and will dry quickly too.
